Job Summary:
The Quality Control manager is responsible for ensuring manufactured products meet set standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  1. Evaluate client requirements to ensure their needs are met by set customer service standards.
  2. Ensure manufacturing processes comply with local and global standards of production.
  3. Collaborate with quality auditors to implement procedures, systems, and standards of operation.
  4. Specify quality requirements for raw materials obtained from vendors and suppliers.
  5. Implement and monitor quality assurance standards to ensure consistent product quality.
  6. Conduct quality audits to make sure set quality policies and procedures are being adhered to.
  7. Oversee the recruitment and training of quality auditors to ensure an effective work unit.
  8. Establish procedures and processes for sampling, recording, and reporting of quality data.
  9. Conduct and monitor the analysis/inspection of raw materials and final products to ensure compliance with set specifications.
  10. Organize training for quality assurance staff to enhance their skill and knowledge of product quality requirements.
  11. Assist internal and external quality auditors in coordinating on-site audits.
  12. Maintain proper records and documentation of quality tests and other quality-related activities.
  13. Prepare and present to senior management reports of quality operations.
  14. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
  • Ability to work in a variety of roles.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to learn how to effectively use databases systems such as ERP’s.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to utilize the tact and diplomacy required to foster a team environment while keeping projects on schedule and budget.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, as well as a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Supervision Received:
Works with minimal supervision. Issues and concerns need to be communicated to supervisor.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, engineering, or in other related discipline
  • Analytical Skill: Quality control managers are able to conduct tests to ensure a product or material falls within established quality specification.
  • Interpersonal Skill: They are able to work with team of quality assurance personnel to make sure raw materials and final products meet set standards of quality.
  • Organizational Skill: They are adept at planning and developing standards, procedures, and best practices for ensuring product quality.
  • Previous experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Lifting: Occasionally raises objects from a lower to a higher position or moves objects horizontally from position-to position. Weight is usually less than 20 lbs.
Push/Pull: Occasionally uses upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Weight is usually less than 20 lbs.
Reaching: Extends hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Weight is usually less than 20 lbs.
Stooping: Bends body downward and forward at the waist. Weight is usually less than 20 lbs. 
Standing: Standing for moderate levels of time. Infrequently more than 30 minutes at a time.
Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks. In frequently more than 30 minutes at a time.
Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
